Below are links to different groups of lookup volunteers who may be able to lend you a hand by checking a few facts for you. As with all Lookup Volunteers, please follow the instructions offered at these individual sites and please do not ask them to do anything for you which might cause a conflict with copyright laws. Should we receive any messages from anyone at these links that our visitors have abused the privileges, this service will be discontinued.

Lookups in Unknown/Orphan Counties!
Just because a county doesn't have a volunteer sponsor yet doesn't mean we can't help you find information there. These nice folks have reference materials related to some of our unsponsored counties and will respond to reasonable requests for lookups at no charge.
Please don't ask them for "blanket" lookups such as "all the Smiths" etc. If you have a specific name in a family you are seeking, they will be happy to try to help you. Please limit your request to one or two names per query and bear in mind that our volunteers have been instructed not to violate copyright "fair use" by providing large quanities of information from the available publications!
If you have materials on one of our orphan/unknown counties and would like to volunteer to help, please send us email describing what resources you have available and which county they are related to. Those wish to Volunteer, use the link below.

Right now we don't have many orphan counties, but we need volunteers to do lookups in those we do have. Please check the County list for counties marked "adopt me". If you have materials on these counties but do not have time to become a county coordinator, you may still wish to assist as a lookup volunteer to be listed on this page. Also, feel free to view the Unknown County Query Page. You may be able to assist those who have placed queries here.
